Selena Anstead, President/Founder
Originally from Nazareth, PA, Selena began volunteering with rescues in 2010 and began fostering in 2012 for The Center for Animal Health & Welfare in Easton, PA. From 2013-6/2019 she volunteered helping the strays with the City of Bethlehem, PA and surrounding areas. She has one son, Zach. She retired in 2021 and spends her free time reading, gardening and enjoying time with her APBT, Rebel Colbalt, her fur grandchild Mable, a deaf ABD mix, and her kitty fur grandchild, Odin, a Snow Bengal. Max, her beloved APBT, sadly passed away unexpectedly on 05/12/2018 at the young age of 7, and her beloved tuxedo cat, Louie, passed away 11/15/2019 at the age of 15.
Dana K. Haulbrook, Vice President
Originally from Orange County, CA, Dana began volunteering with the American Bullmastiff Assn Rescue in 2002 & served as their SC Rescue Contact for 10+ years. She is an active volunteer with several well respected organizations in SC. She continues to build relationships with local shelters and bring awareness to the community. Dana is a mom to 3 awesome boys and works full time for a large trucking company. She enjoys spending free time with her granddaughter Ashlynn and her beloved pit bulls Chester and Winston.
Alexis Stetz
Alexis resides in Bethlehem, PA and works for a payroll company. She is an avid animal advocate and was a volunteer for us helping us in many ways before becoming a member of our Board. She shares her life with Zach, dogs, cats, snakes, reptiles, bunnies, and her Snow Bengal Odin. In her spare time she enjoys painting, cooking, and baking along with helping animals in need.
Barbara Morgan
Barb resides in Allentown PA and is the proud "mom" of 3 rescues - Tesla, Gomer, and Libby. Barb comes to us with an extensive law enforcement background who previously worked in undercover retail security, is a retired Corrections Officer, a published author, and a former Northampton County, PA and Lehigh County, PA HSPO (Humane Society Police Officer). In her spare time she loves bike riding, traveling, and puzzles.
Timothy Prendergast, Esquire
Tim is an attorney in Easton, PA. Tim is not on Because of a Dog's Board of Directors but is our legal counsel. When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca, and 4 children. Tim also enjoys spending time with their rescued dogs and traveling. He volunteers to help dogs find their forever homes and is a huge animal advocate.
